Aeration

Give Your Lawn a Boost

Aeration, simply put, is removing cores from your lawn to allow water, nutrients, and air to reach the roots of the grass plants. Having this work done at the beginning and the end of the growing season, will give your lawn the boost it needs!

Here are the basics of Aeration

The best practice is to aerate a lawn at the beginning of each growing season. The Rasmussen Way of aerating is once in the spring (March through April) and again before the fall growth spurt (late August into September) for maximum results. This gives the grass roots the best possible opportunity to soak up all the air, water, and nutrients it can during the growing season.

Here are the basics of Aeration

Our Utah winters compact the thatch and upper soil layers of our lawns. And that compaction makes it very challenging for grass to send down deep, strong roots. Aeration assists in relieving some of that compaction, while helping the roots get added nutrients, air, and water.
