Lawn Cutting- The Rasmussen Way

Mow

Straight Lines

Our main goal when cutting your lawn is to leave it stunning! Although anyone can mow a lawn, it takes real skill for perfect, straight mowing lines that look like luxury!

Trim & Edges

Straight, Clean, Crisp

Anywhere grass borders a hard surface or plant bed, our teams will trim and edge them all to create perfect borders!

Blow

Clean Up

Everything gets cleaned! All sidewalks, driveways, patios and outdoor furniture are blown off. All grass clippings are bagged up and hauled away.

Fast & Efficient

Every Lawn Inspected

Our lawn teams are all business! We take pride in how quickly our lawn teams unload their trucks and get their work done. And before our team packs up to leave, the lawn is inspected to ensure a perfect cut.

Edges are the Artwork

Driveways & Sidewalks

This is where the perfect edge starts! Nothing catches the eye like a perfectly straight edge against sidewalks and driveways. We use a dedicated edging machine to cut a fresh edge every year, or at the beginning of your regular lawn servicing contract. After that, all edges are maintained using a trimmer to keep them looking sharp all year.

You might be surprised how many lawn cutting service providers don't cut edges like this. The reason this is not a common practice is because it takes an additional step in the process and occupies more time, but it's one of the many reasons why your lawn with Rasmussen Landscapes will be "a cut above"!

Along Plant Bed Borders

Cutting Fresh Edges

Some plant beds don't have a deliberate or installed border. Even in the absence of a physical border, having some sort of distinguishing line is important for a clean look. If grass has been allowed to grow into plant beds, the only way to clean them up is create a border manually. Our teams use the trimmer in a vertical position to create a clean and straight edge at the border of the plant bed, where the grass edge should be.

Trimming

Yes, there is more than one kind of edge! Horizontal edging is cleaning up the parts of the lawn that the mower can't reach. Places like around swing set posts, along fences and walls, and at the borders of the grass where it is not appropriate, or possible, to run the mower. The giveaway that edging isn't being done properly is tall grass along edges and borders of the grass. Lawns cut the Rasmussen Way are never left with tall edges, anywhere.

Edging

This is one of our personal favorites! Vertical Trimming happens anywhere that a hard surface edge (patio, sidewalk, driveway) meets the grass. Rather than a horizontal cut, to transition with the height of the hard surface, we vertically trim a precise border that keeps the grass all the same length and creates a beautiful border between the grass and the hard surface. This is the mark of a professionally manicured lawn.

Clean Up

This happens on both ends of the job. Before the cutting starts, all yard equipment, toys, doggie droppings, and any other debris is removed from the lawn. This ensures that the lawn cut goes quickly and smoothly. Then, after the cut is done, our team members go back through the entire property with a blower and clean off all grass clippings from sidewalks, driveways, and patios.

Quotes Over the Phone

Using satellite mapping technology, one phone call to our office can quickly give you an accurate price, information, and a service contract to begin your mowing service.

All our office needs is your address in order to look up the size of your property and verify the areas that need to be mowed and trimmed, and an accurate quote can be built on the spot!

Breaking Down Price

Landscaping is like most other services - If there is a price far lower than the rest, its because corners are being cut.

Whether shortcuts are being taken in the materials or products being used, or in the man-power to get the job done, we advise that the quality of the work be a heavy consideration in the decision-making process.

When deciding on who will be doing your yearly lawn fertilizing, we would remind you that we never use generic or "stripped down" fertilizers. We only source the best formulas from the best manufacturers. And we are huge advocates for monthly fertilizing. Any thing less and most Utah lawns wont have the nutrients to be thick and green all season long.
